Grindelwald railway station is about 1 km from the hotel and can be reached in around 20 minutes on foot. Bern Airport is approximately 68 km away. Other airports include Zurich (about 152 km), Basel (about 175 km), and Geneva (about 207 km). The Alpenblick bus stop for main line 121 is about a 5-minute walk away and is served year-round by the Grindelwald local bus. In winter, the ski bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel.

You can reach the Chalet Apartments by car, bus, train, or plane.
Are there free parking spaces directly at the Chalet Apartments?
Yes, some parking spaces are available directly at the chalet. Several chalets also offer additional parking in the garage, and you may park free of charge at any time in front of Hotel Kirchbühl.

Yes, there are underground parking spaces available for Chalet Apartments guests at an additional charge.
Are there electric charging stations at the property?
Yes, an electric car charging station is available at Hotel Kirchbühl (Type 2 cable provided). A large charge costs CHF 20.00, and a small charge costs CHF 10.00.

Yes, all Chalet Apartments are equipped with a kitchen including crockery, fridge, hob, oven, kettle, coffee machine, and dishwasher (except in the studios), as well as a microwave in some apartments.

Yes, washing-up liquid and cleaning supplies are provided.
Is there a hairdryer in the Chalet Apartments?
Yes, each Chalet Apartment is equipped with a hairdryer.
Are dogs or pets allowed?
Yes, dogs are very welcome – for small dogs (up to 10 kg) we charge CHF 10.00 per night (without food), and for large dogs (from 10 kg) and long-haired dogs CHF 20.00 per night. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the restaurants or wellness area.
Are the Chalet Apartments suitable for families with children?
Yes, Hotel Kirchbühl and the Kirchbühl Apartments offer many amenities to make your family holiday special: an ideal location surrounded by nature, spacious Chalet Apartments, proximity to the Bodmi Arena with ski lift and kids’ club, as well as an in-house playroom and playground.
Is there Wi-Fi at the property?
Yes, all Chalet Apartments offer complimentary Wi-Fi.
Are there accessible Chalet Apartments?
No, unfortunately we do not offer accessible chalets at the Kirchbühl Apartments.
Is there a washing machine at the property?
Yes, some chalets offer shared laundry rooms or private washing facilities within the apartments. Use of the washing machine is either complimentary or subject to a fee, depending on the Chalet Apartment.
Is catering included in the price?
No, catering is not automatically included when booking the Chalet Apartments Kirchbühl. You have three booking options:

Yes, there are several restaurants both at Hotel Kirchbühl and in the centre of Grindelwald. Hotel Kirchbühl also features a hotel bar, garden terrace, and fireside lounge. You will find additional bars and cafés in the centre of Grindelwald.
Are there barbecue facilities at the property?
No, barbecuing is not permitted at the Chalet Apartments Kirchbühl out of consideration for other guests.
Are there communal areas?
No, apart from some shared laundry rooms, there are no communal areas.
Are there vegetarian or vegan options near the property?
Yes, both the restaurants at Hotel Kirchbühl and several restaurants in the centre of Grindelwald offer vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Is the tap water safe to drink?
Yes, the tap water is clean and safe to drink.
Is there a wellness area?
Yes, Hotel Kirchbühl offers a wellness area with a sauna complex. The sauna area is an exclusive nude zone.
Is the wellness area included for Chalet Apartment guests?
No, the wellness area is not included for guests of the Chalet Apartments Kirchbühl, but you are welcome to book access to the wellness area at Hotel Kirchbühl.
Is there an outdoor pool near the property?
Yes, in Grindelwald there is an outdoor pool open from June to August with a 25 m swimming pool, a 20 m non-swimmer pool, a 45 m slide, and an 8 m children's pool.
Is there an indoor pool near the property?
Yes, in Grindelwald there is an indoor pool with a 17 m swimming pool, a 10 m non-swimmer pool, a children's pool (approx. 6 x 3 m), a 1 m diving board, and a 70 m slide (Blackhole).
Are there Chalet Apartments with a separate children's room?
Yes, there are Chalet Apartments with separate children's rooms.
Is there a storage area for prams at the property?
Yes, both the Chalet Apartments and the entrance areas of the chalets offer ample space for storing prams.
What facilities are available for babies and toddlers?
We are happy to provide baby cots, bed guards, high chairs, and changing mats with nappy bins free of charge.
Is there a baby monitor?
No, we do not offer a baby monitor service in the Chalet Apartments Kirchbühl.
Is there a children's area at the property?
Yes, Hotel Kirchbühl offers both a playroom and a playground for children.
From what age do children pay?
Children up to and including 4 years stay free of charge. From the age of 5, we charge CHF 25.00 per night for an extra bed. Please note that different conditions apply for bookings in our Serviced Apartments.

In summer, the local tourism office offers a programme with a variety of activities. In winter, you can look forward to the nearby Bodmi Arena, featuring a ski lift, conveyor belt, toboggan run, and a supervised children's club.

Yes, for the duration of your stay you will receive a complimentary guest card. We are also happy to assist you with organising mountain railway and ski tickets.

The beautiful surroundings of Grindelwald are perfect for summer activities such as hiking, biking, trail running, paragliding, golf, tennis, the summer toboggan run, or a scenic helicopter flight. In winter, Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland offers ideal conditions for all winter sports: skiing, snowboarding, winter hiking, tobogganing, and cross-country skiing.

Yes, numerous hiking trails and excursions start directly from the property.
Is there a bicycle rental at Hotel Kirchbühl?
No, there is no bicycle rental directly at Hotel Kirchbühl, but our reception team will be happy to assist you in finding a suitable sports shop.

The Firstbahn and Pfingsteggbahn cable cars are both approximately 800 metres from Hotel Kirchbühl.

The First cable car to the Grindelwald-First ski area is approximately 800 metres from Hotel Kirchbühl. The Bodmi Arena with ski school is about 300 metres away.
Is there a ski storage room?
Yes, each chalet has its own ski room.
Is there a ski bus directly at the property?
Yes, Hotel Kirchbühl is directly connected to the Grindelwald ski bus network in winter via line 124 (Stutz – Train Station – Bodmi).

Are the prices for the Chalet Apartments per person or per unit?
The prices are per accommodation unit and per night, based on the number of guests specified in the table.
What services are included in the price?
The daily rate includes one parking space, bath and bed linen, kitchen and table linen, final cleaning, shoe and ski storage, complimentary entry to the sports centre (indoor pool/ice rink), and use of the public ski bus.
Is the final cleaning included in the price?
Yes, the final cleaning is included in the total price.
What are the cancellation policies?
The following cancellation policies apply to the Chalet Apartments:
- Up to 22 days before arrival: No cancellation fees
- From 21 to 0 days before arrival, early departure or no-show: 100% of the total price for a maximum of 3 days
What is the local tourist tax?
The local tourist tax is CHF 5.20 per person per night and is charged on site for guests aged 12 and over.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments in cash in Swiss Francs or by credit card (Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa, American Express) are accepted.
Is a deposit required?
Yes, a deposit is required when making a firm booking. The amount of the deposit depends on the total price.
Is there a minimum stay?
