At Hotel Kirchbühl, there are plenty of free parking spaces available.
Garage spaces can be rented in summer for CHF 10 and in winter for CHF 12 per day.
Motorways will take you from Basel, Geneva or Zurich via Bern or alternatively via Lucerne over the Brünig Pass to Interlaken (exit number 25). From there, follow the main road to Grindelwald.
In Grindelwald, follow the main road to the church, then continue towards Oberer Gletscher. After 400 m, turn left at the signpost and you will reach the hotel (Kirchbühlstrasse).
Winter equipment, winter tyres and snow chains are required during the winter season (October to April).
Snow chains may also be compulsory at times.
The motorways in Switzerland are toll roads. The fee is CHF 40 per year.
Vignettes are available at the national border, at petrol stations and at post offices.
If parking is required, we kindly ask for advance notice so that it can be prepared.
Coach buses can usually turn directly from Obere Getscherstrasse into Kirchbühlstrasse.
Longer vehicles (3 axles) should preferably follow Obere Gletscherstrasse to the Terrassenweg junction.
Turn around there and enter Kirchbühlstrasse from above.

International train connections (including ICE) will take you to Interlaken, from where the journey to Grindelwald takes about 40 minutes by cogwheel train of the Bernese Oberland Railway.
Our hotel shuttle bus will take you directly to Grindelwald train station in the village centre and back. Advance reservation is required.
